To off – try to get a reservation! It took me attempting through the website twice, calling, emailing and finally contacting them on instagram to try and get a response – overall around a month to get a reservation for a special anniversary dinner whilst at cancun. I heard about the restaurant in tripadvisors top 100 restaurants (it was number five) and I will understand why. The whole day was fantastic, the food, attention to detail, and expertise that the team have made the day a real treat for us.
Only comments (to help improve a fantastic time!) Would be when we first arrived we weren’t made to feel that welcome, just requested to sit in the waiting area, not provided a drink or some drinks menu or anything and when we were seated at our table. There were just two guys on the table next to us were quite rudely watching youtube videos on their phone very loudly – and the team allowed them.
They were completing their desserts so that we didn’t say anything – but had they’ve been staying more it really could have impacted our visit and didn’t seem appropriate for the type of venue. There was likewise no music so at times can feel a bit like it lacks atmosphere.
This was more than a restaurant it was indeed an experience; accurate to what they market. I am so glad we took the opportunity to receive a reservation. I wished we would have booked when we arrived as they recommend to get the date/time we wanted. We also get recommendations of paradise reef cozumel snorkeling trips to take with the family. However, it turned out to be a great last night spent on the conclusion of a beautiful holiday season. If you receive the VIP ring, then this restaurant is included which was the icing on the cake! Highly recommend!
The experience was unique along with the meals artfully presented. Though place as an intimate atmosphere, it was almost like it was for me. All of the food was great – even though unexpected. Though I am sure, you will find to be a few standouts to anyone’s palate. Unless you’re quite laid back though, I would suggest not having this solo, as every course (or bite) is spaced out.
We weren’t sure what to expect coming in, but we were so happy to have gone. The food was so yummy and intriguing, it enables you to think about every bite! And the team did a fantastic job of helping it flow from course to course, explaining everything in between so well. We had the joy of meeting with the chef on our way out, with all the beautiful rose I had been given along with a gorgeous menu to look over and take home later! A need to go for anyone coming to Cancun!
Props to Chef Ignacio Del Rio Mora for preparing a beautiful 21 class meal for my friends and I had the opportunity to see in April 2018 and needed to return again. We were somewhat disappointed that the drinks were not included this time. But it was an amazing experience here!
